There weren't any Extra Bucks deals this week that I was interested in doing, so I went to CVS today without any clear plan. I did have a CVS coupon for a free greeting card and was hoping to find some great deals to make up a $15 transaction so that I could use a $3 off $15 purchase coupon.
My transaction went as follows:
Halloween Card-$3.29
Clearanced Light Bulbs-$.42
Trial Size Pantene Hairspray-$1.29
2 Trial Size Crest with Scope-$1.98 ($.99 each)
Wet Ones Travel Pack-$1.99
Wet Ones Canister-$2.99 (not pictured)
Soft Soap Nutriserums-$2.88
I had a $1 off Pantene Styler coupon that did not exclude trial sizes, a $1.50 off two Crest coupon that did not exclude trial sizes, a $1 of Soft Soap Nutriserums coupon and a $1 off two Wet Ones coupon.
My total before coupons was $14.84. Tax was $.53, bringing the total with tax to $15.37. I used the $3 off $15 CVS purchase coupon first, which brought the total down to $12.37. The free greeting card CVS coupon had a maximum value of $5 and actually scanned as a $5 CVS coupon even though the card that I had picked out was only $3.29. Including the $4.50 in manufacturer's coupons the total was brought down to $2.87. I paid with $1.99 in Extra Bucks and $.88 on a CVS gift card. That means I spent nothing out of pocket!
I also got my third scan of my Green Bag Tag. That means I'll get a $1 Extra Buck on my next visit. :)
